Dress for Success

Have you ever wanted to use your sewing gifts for a good cause? We’ve got your chance! Space12 is hosting a sewing benefit for Dress for Success this Saturday, October 9th. The event goes from 10am to 6pm and we are looking for seamsters of all skill levels to help us in this venture.

Dress for Success is a nonprofit that provides career-appropriate clothing for disadvantaged women transitioning into the work environment. Our objective with this event is to provide plus size clothing for Dress for Success clients as they are currently lacking a sufficient supply for their clientele.

We will need your help to cut, pin, sew, etc. for this all-day event so we can make as many garments as we can for this organization. Any time you have available will definitely count, as well as any notions, fabric, or other supplies that you can provide for this day. If you have some plus size garments that you do not need or want that are career oriented, please bring them as well! Anything helps, and we would really love to have you be apart of this event and support Dress for Success by helping create quality garments for disadvantaged women.
